The Jungle Look In Your Home

The jungle trend has well and truly taken root, and it’s easy to see why — there’s something restorative about surrounding yourself with greenery and lush, leafy pattern. The good news is you don’t need a conservatory or green fingers to bring the look home.

Start with a backdrop

Jungle style loves contrast, so deep, moody walls let greenery sing. A dark forest green, inky blue or charcoal makes foliage — real or printed — pop far more than a pale wall ever could. If paint feels like a commitment, a botanical wallpaper on a single feature wall delivers the same drama.

Layer in real plants

Nothing beats the real thing. Mix heights and leaf shapes for that gathered-over-time look: a tall fiddle-leaf fig in a corner, trailing pothos from a shelf, a cluster of smaller pots on a sideboard. Group them rather than dotting them about — plants always look better in good company.

Pattern and print

Cushions, throws and art are the low-commitment way to get the look. Palm fronds, monstera leaves and tropical birds bring instant energy — just keep the rest of the scheme calm so the pattern has room to breathe. One or two bold botanical pieces go a long way.

Natural materials

Finish with texture drawn from nature: rattan, woven baskets, raw wood and a jute rug underfoot. These earthy materials ground all that green and stop the jungle look tipping into theme-park territory. The result is a home that feels lush, layered and very much alive.
